Seaside Retreat

great little cottage at the edge of town. private driveway and a private pool. cottage was clean and spacious for our family of 4. I'll still never get used to cooking with electricity. would definitely stay again. could use a little stronger wifi single.

The cottage was very cute and well decorated. It's located very close to fresh water so the mosquitos were unbearable. The screened in porch helps a lot, but the screen door was wide open when we arrived. I was eaten alive when trying to get the key out of the lockbox. Definitely bring repellent! The kitchen had plenty of plates, glasses etc, but if you plan to cook, bring a knife. The only knife in the kitchen was a dull paring knife. The beds are very hard, that was ok for a few nights. A full week here would have been difficult for me. However, my fiance likes a very firm bed and thought it was fine. We were able to get to any attraction or beach in 10 minutes or less. Location was pretty good. I think we would stay closer to downtown Rockport next time as there seemed to be much fewer mosquitos.

This cozy cottage was pretty accurate. It was nice and quiet at night as well. The hosts are very quick to respond and they ensure that your stay is pleasant. It was very clean and had what we needed. The first room is a little warm without a ceiling fan, but we always carry a portable just in case no big deal. It’s about 10 mins away from Goose Island State Park and from Rockport Beach, H‑E‑B, Walmart, and restaurants. I would definitely love to stay here again.

Great little cottage located just off the bays. A short drive to Port A and some really good sea food opportunities. The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us. The screened in patio was really nice to sit outside and relax without bugs. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely perfect! We have stayed at this property before but in a different cabin and it was just as great. Plenty of room to relax after a long day at the beach. We had a parking issue when we first arrived and Kelly was very responsive and got us situated in less than 5 minutes. Will definitely stay here again.

The home is exactly as pictured and in a cute little area. Just 10 min drive from the beach. Perfect for our family of four.

We absolutely loved the stay, we did have problems searching for the address everyone we gave the address to was lost (mainly our food delivery) it happened with more than 2 people. The place was very cute but I will say the beds were very very uncomfortable, I would personally bring something extra to make them more comfortable we luckily brought air mattress and found those to be more comfortable than the beds themselves. We did have a little trouble getting in the room because we were messaged the wrong code but got help super fast after calling. Other than the few hiccups it’s very cute and very nice place to stay for a small get away

The place is just as depicted in the pictures; clean, spacious, beautifully decorated with all the essentials needed for a nice getaway. Check-in was easy, communication with the host was easy and consistent, and the location was a short drive from the main attractions. Overall, a great place to stay.

Kelly was a lovely and communicative host! We had a little trouble with google maps but once I spoke with Kelly we had the right address and were on our way! The bungalow was tucked into the back and had a large tree shading the front screened porch, and my daughter loved running around the spacious living room. 10 minutes from the beach and a perfect little getaway from Austin ~ and our next stay will be longer!

Once we got there it was pretty easy to get in, the lockbox had already had the code put in which I’m assuming the cleaners forgot to reset, but as we walked in there was an unpleasant smell and as expecting the place we found the microwave and refrigerator where not what we had expected them to be, the microwave door was broken and the refrigerator didn’t have shelves in the door they put velcro like straps to hold items. The floors where dirty through out the house our feet where black just walking around and the guest bathroom had someone else’s shampoo and body wash in it and while staying the 4 days we killed 4 water roaches and a spider. Over all the place is cute and in an ok location and allows pets. The neighborhood seemed nice and quiet.

Location was great! Quiet, private and very relaxing wasn’t too far for any where you needed to get to. Kids loved the pool. We liked how it was a perfect size for our littles. The home itself was very clean and had everything you might need while away from home.

We enjoyed the house very much, at the end of a culdesac/private drive, close to great food (we ate at Pier 77 and highly recommend)! Hosts were responsive and made everything very easy. Kelly place was exactly like the pictures and had a great time and restaurants and shopping was only about 10 minutes. We felt right at home here. We hope to be back soon maybe when it’s a little cooler so we can fish. And we also loved the pool.

If you're looking for a budget stay and don't plan on opening the fridge—or if you’ve lost your sense of smell—this might be the place for you. The refrigerator had a horrible stench, and the mildew smell throughout the house was hard to ignore. The bathtub in the master bedroom felt unstable and honestly seemed like it might give way if you stood in the wrong spot. The old saying “you get what you pay for” definitely applies here.

The bungalow was tucked into the back and had a large tree shading the front screened porch, and my daughter loved running around the spacious living room. 10 minutes from the beach and a perfect little getaway from Austin ~ and our next stay will be longer!

It’s about 10 mins away from Goose Island State Park and from Rockport Beach, H‑E‑B, Walmart, and restaurants. I would definitely love to stay here again.

This cottage was amazing! They were very gracious hosts that allowed us to have our furry friends with us. We enjoyed the house very much, at the end of a culdesac/private drive, close to great food (we ate at Pier 77 and highly recommend)! Hosts were responsive and made everything very easy. The cottage was very cute and well decorated. It's located very close to fresh water so the mosquitos were unbearable. The screened in porch helps a lot, but the screen door was wide open when we arrived. I was eaten alive when trying to get the key out of the lockbox. Definitely bring repellent! The kitchen had plenty of plates, glasses etc, but if you plan to cook, bring a knife. The only knife in the kitchen was a dull paring knife. The beds are very hard, that was ok for a few nights. A full week here would have been difficult for me. However, my fiance likes a very firm bed and thought it was fine. We were able to get to any attraction or beach in 10 minutes or less. Location was pretty good. I think we would stay closer to downtown Rockport next time as there seemed to be much fewer mosquitos.

We had a parking issue when we first arrived and Kelly was very responsive and got us situated in less than 5 minutes. Will definitely stay here again.

It’s a beautiful , small, and private cottage with 2 rooms. The house was spotless when we arrived and was very easy to check in , no complaints . Loved the place.

The cottage was relaxing, spacious and exactly as advertised. The owners were excellent with communication and made it easy for us to find and access the property. We will be staying here again in the future!

Once we got there it was pretty easy to get in, the lockbox had already had the code put in which I’m assuming the cleaners forgot to reset, but as we walked in there was an unpleasant smell and as expecting the place we found the microwave and refrigerator where not what we had expected them to be, the microwave door was broken and the refrigerator didn’t have shelves in the door they put velcro like straps to hold items. The floors where dirty through out the house our feet where black just walking around and the guest bathroom had someone else’s shampoo and body wash in it and while staying the 4 days we killed 4 water roaches and a spider. Over all the place is cute and in an ok location and allows pets. The neighborhood seemed nice and quiet.

This cottage was amazing! They were very gracious hosts that allowed us to have our furry friends with us. We enjoyed the house very much, at the end of a culdesac/private drive, close to great food (we ate at Pier 77 and highly recommend)! Hosts were responsive and made everything very easy. We will definitely try to stay here again on another trip.

Location was great! Quiet, private and very relaxing wasn’t too far for any where you needed to get to. Kids loved the pool. We liked how it was a perfect size for our littles. The home itself was very clean and had everything you might need while away from home.

If you're looking for a budget stay and don't plan on opening the fridge—or if you’ve lost your sense of smell—this might be the place for you. The refrigerator had a horrible stench, and the mildew smell throughout the house was hard to ignore. The bathtub in the master bedroom felt unstable and honestly seemed like it might give way if you stood in the wrong spot. The old saying “you get what you pay for” definitely applies here.
